GART DER GESUNDHEIT, (Strassburg, 1536)
An unusual ”Gart der Gesundheit” devoted not to plants but to far more illustrations of animals. There are no less than 535 charming woodcut illustrations of beasts, fishes, birds, insects, including several mythical creatures, many of which are somewhat stylized, but the attitudes of the animals are often vivid and characteristic.
